NEW Opera 9.5

For almost three months now i was not able to post a new thread thanks to a turtle-fast Internet connection ,a TSETSAF (reverse of “fastest”) PC and two NAUGHTY browsers that is IE6 and FIREFOX3 playing little stupid games on me like “not responding” and all sorts.I was in real mess, trying everything from running Registry clean-ups to even changing RAMs but my Browser simply wont help me and very politely request my helpless smile for a ” NEEDS TO CLOSE” permission.All this was happening to a ONE month old blogger (me) who do not use a blogging tool.

Two days earlier I heard about the new release of Opera Version 9.5 and decided to give it a try. Ohhhhhhhh how do I tell ya people!YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE. It is cute it is smart it is sharp …………………..I am able to blog again!

So whats new?or interesting?Everything I say. This browser has a lot of tailor- made built-in applications for which IE certainly and Fire-fox(even firefox!) occasionally require third-party Add-Ins.

Lets start…………………………………First Page is not “Welcome to tabbed browsing” nor is it “Built-IN Google” Rather it is “SPEED DIALS”.you can place nine thumb nail links to your favorite websites that you want to visit many times a day. And they will open lot quicker than any of the two BIG DADDY browsers.

TABS are there but they are more than only eye-catching. Aesthetics !hmmmmmmmm. cool

You can customise settings for cookies ,pop-ups, java and many more for each site SEPARATELY and WITH OUT opening any dialogue boxes or using million-click menus like “tools and then Internet options and then security.and then…..and then……..etc”.

You Do not need DAP OR FLASH-GET it has got one built-in and guess what ?………It does not open in a new window but a new tab so that you do not need to minimise your browser to see the download progress.Actually you can forget about the progress cause it notifies you but not with an Annoying balloon.Sophistication I mean!

If you want to search for some thing on web say a book what would you do? Open a search engine most probably google. then write the name of book and then go to say amazon but not in Opera 9.5 because all major search engines and sites are built in.GOOGLE ASK YAHOO plus AMAZON WIKIPEDIA EBAY BIT-TORRENT. MSN misses out understandably.All this is done in an incredible and unique manner,any thing that you Write in address bar is automatically searched in the search engine of your choice.

If security is your concern you will certainly appreciate the built-in fraud protection.

It is only my second day with my new beloved so I am sure i have missed a lot of features but I being a user of IE for 12 years and mozilla for 4 years can tell you that Ive never been at so ease with my browser that i have enjoyed in these 30-odd hours. Finally I must tell you that ………….I am using the very same PC but it is no more slow while connected to Internet….Why??? ……Not sure but ……………….. Opera has presented a real challenge to FIRE FOX and the future IE8. I suggest it as a MUST TRY. You will be proud of your choice.
